The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled "Academic Guidance in Literacy Eradication," in cooperation with the Guidance Unit and the Continuing Education Unit, with the participation of several faculty members.
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of academic guidance in addressing illiteracy and to strengthen the role of educational institutions in disseminating scientific awareness.
The seminar, presented by several faculty members, covered various topics including the concept and objectives of academic guidance, its role in supporting literacy programs, and modern educational methods for delivering knowledge to target groups, particularly in environments with low educational standards.
The seminar emphasized the importance of knowledge in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (Prophetic traditions) and the necessity of demonstrating the impact of science and academic research in spreading accurate and informed knowledge
