The dissertation, submitted by student Thamina Mazhar Muhammad Al-Shams, aimed to study the methodology of the Imams of Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) in confronting pre-Islamic practices, revealing the methods and visions they adopted in reforming society and correcting moral, intellectual, and social deviations. It also highlighted the role of this methodology in reforming the individual and society by establishing Islamic values, strengthening religious and human awareness, and spreading virtues and human values.
The thesis included a study of the aims and objectives upon which the approach to confronting pre-Islamic behaviors was based. It also examines the educational, advocacy, and ethical methods used by the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to reform the individual and correct his behavior, as well as explaining the effects that resulted from this approach in many aspects, which contributed to achieving reform and reducing intellectual and moral deviations, and instilling values and principles that build a cohesive society in which justice and security prevail.
