PhD thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra "the dialectic of impossibility and possibility in the Arabic theatrical text / selected models"
The thesis presented by the researcher (Aliya Latif Abdul-Jabbar) aims to reveal the movement of impossibility and possibility and its expressive and aesthetic representation in the Arabic theatrical text.
The thesis included the detailed topic of impossibility and possibility and the blurring of the uniqueness of each of them, and this created a state of entanglement between the concepts of impossibility and possibility within the theatrical text.
The thesis concluded that the dialectic of impossibility and possibility is based on the overlap, not the conflict, as the possibility turns into a postponed or reproduced version from within the impossibility, which makes the theatrical text an open space to generate meaning rather than resolve it.
