A doctoral dissertation at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra examined "The Khorasani Companions of the Imams (peace be upon them) and Their Role in Preserving Islamic Heritage."
The dissertation, submitted by student Nawfal Shaiba Hamza Al-Mousawi, aimed to study the role of the Khorasani companions of the Imams (peace be upon them) in preserving Islamic heritage, specifically the knowledge of the Imams of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them), their scholarly standing, and the methods they used to transmit narrations in various aspects—religious, political, social, and scientific—in order to disseminate this knowledge within the Muslim community. It also highlighted the Khorasani narrations in various scholarly works that were relied upon by authors in their writings.
The study comprised five chapters, preceded by an introduction and a preface, and followed by a conclusion. The first chapter deals with the geographical distribution and scholarly status of the companions of the Imams, peace be upon them, who were from Khorasan.
