A doctoral dissertation at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra examined "The Strategy of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Appearing at the Courts of Ruling Authorities until the Year 255 AH."

The dissertation, submitted by student Ali Abdul-Ridha Mahdi, aimed to elucidate the strategies adopted by the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) when they appeared at the courts of ruling authorities.

The dissertation comprised four chapters addressing a range of concepts related to authority, the Ahlul-Bayt's (peace be upon them) perspective on it, and the necessary qualifications for those who assume governance and authority. It also included a diverse set of strategies employed by the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) in their interactions with the rulers of their time. The dissertation indicated that the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) did not have a single strategy, but rather a variety of strategies adapted to the prevailing circumstances and the nature of their relationship with the ruling authority.
