In a significant achievement added to the University of Basrah's research record, Dr. Dalal K. D, an academic at the Bomer Research Center, published a joint research paper in the prestigious Arab Journal of Chemistry, indexed in Q1 in the Scopus database. This reflects her distinguished scientific standing and research impact at the international level. The paper, titled "L-Ascorbic Acid as an Antioxidant in Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Syntheses," was published in the Arab Journal of Chemistry. The research investigated the use of L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) as an antioxidant and thermal stabilizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) formulations, along with its effect on improving the film's insulation and filtration efficiency.
The study also examined the use of L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) as an antioxidant and thermal stabilizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) formulations. The study demonstrated promising results regarding the potential use of ascorbic acid as an effective additive to PVC inhibitors, thus limiting the ability of bacteria to develop a more effective system based on native antibiotics. Therefore, the administration of the Polymer Research Center extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Dalal.K, wishing her continued success and further contributions and excellence in her scientific career, serving the university and the advancement of scientific research in Iraq.
