A Master's Thesis at the University of Basra Entitled "Brotherhood in the Era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)"
The Master's thesis submitted by student Faiha Hussein Aboud at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra, explored the topic of "Brotherhood in the Era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)," considering it a significant subject in Islamic history due to its fundamental role in building the early Islamic community and strengthening the bonds of unity and solidarity among Muslims.
The thesis aims to study the concept of brotherhood and the reasons for its legislation, explain its stages and objectives, and identify its most prominent forms and applications during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). It also aims to demonstrate its role in uniting the Muhajireen (immigrants) and the Ansar (helpers), establishing the values of brotherhood, cooperation, and mutual support, and its impact on building the Islamic state in Medina. This study gains its importance by highlighting the system of brotherhood as a pioneering model in achieving social cohesion and promoting the values of solidarity and altruism, and by demonstrating its impact in addressing the social and economic challenges faced by the emerging Islamic society, thus highlighting the Prophetic approach in building a cohesive society based on justice, cooperation and stability.
