PhD thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra "philosophy of advertising in contemporary sculpture"
The thesis presented by the researcher (Ali Zair Rasen) aims to study the philosophy of advertising and its manifestations in contemporary sculpture according to the contexts of scientific research.
The thesis included the concept of the philosophy of advertising in contemporary sculpture as an intellectual and aesthetic system that contributes to the production of meaning and the formation of visual discourse within the sculptural work. Contemporary sculpture has witnessed fundamental transformations that went beyond the traditional functions of the sculptural form towards the use of advertising mechanisms and means of communication in the construction of artistic achievement.
The thesis concluded that there is a direct relationship between the importance of the intended advertising message and the size of the visual element used, as many models tended to exaggerate the sizes to highlight the idea and enhance its presence within the space.
