The dissertation, presented by doctoral candidate Ali Mazaal Obaid Al-Shahin, investigates the impact of the self-assertion technique on reducing emotional submissiveness among preparatory school students. Three hypotheses were derived from these objectives, which the researcher sought to verify using scientific methods standard in experimental research.
The study focused on a sample of fifth-year preparatory students from public schools in the Al-Qurna District of Basra Governorate during the 2025–2026 academic year, utilizing an experimental research design.
The study sample was drawn from fourth- and fifth-year preparatory students, totaling 450 individuals. The program was implemented on an experimental sample of 24 students, divided into an experimental group of 12 and a control group of 12.
