The Basra Journal of Humanities Research, affiliated with the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra, has released Volume 51, Issue 1 (2026) electronically via its official website using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Dr. Safaa Abdul-Amir Al-Asadi, Editor-in-Chief, stated that the entire process—from the receipt, peer review, and revision of research papers to their final publication—was conducted electronically. Each paper has been assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), thereby enhancing its scholarly visibility, accessibility, and citability.
He noted that this release is the result of the combined efforts of the editorial board and the technical committee, supported and encouraged by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafta. He further affirmed the ongoing commitment to developing the journal and elevating the standards of scholarly publishing.
