Faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, Asst. Prof. Dr. Qutaiba Abdulkarim Qasim, chaired the examination committee for the Master's defense in Pharmaceutical Sciences submitted by student Noor Mohammed Habib, entitled:
"Impact of Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone Receptor (TSHR) Gene Polymorphism (rs1991517) on Thyroid Hormone Signaling and Treatment in Women with Hypothyroidism"
The defense took place at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa. The study explored the genetic and biological implications of TSHR receptor gene polymorphisms on thyroid hormone signaling pathways and therapeutic responsiveness among patients, representing ongoing academic collaboration and exchange of postgraduate expertise between prestigious Iraqi colleges of pharmacy.
