The Department of History at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Guidance Unit, organized a workshop titled "Observation and Practical Training." The event was attended by fourth-year students and several faculty members from the department.
The workshop aimed to introduce students to the practical aspects of the teaching profession and to prepare them to leverage the observation and practical training phase to enhance their professional skills.
Presented by Dr. Imad Mukallaf Asal, Dr. Shahad Ali Abdullah, Dr. Zainab Hazim Kashish, and Dr. Zahraa Saleh Abdul-Sahib, the workshop provided academic and pedagogical guidance. It emphasized the importance of student-teachers engaging with the school environment, participating in educational and instructional activities, and collaborating with school administration and staff—all of which serve to strengthen the students' readiness for a career in teaching
