The Date Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “An Overview of Erasmus Programmes, Projects, and Opportunities” as part of Erasmus Days.
The workshop aimed to introduce the programme and the educational and research opportunities it offers to students and faculty members.
The workshop, delivered by Dr. Nasser Hameed Mohammed, presented Erasmus as one of the European Union’s programmes supporting education, training, and youth. It also reviewed the programme’s strategic priorities, namely inclusion, digital transformation, and the green transition, in addition to Iraq’s position within Region 7 of the programme.
The workshop also outlined available participation opportunities, including international academic mobility, master’s scholarships, and capacity-building projects. It explained the application requirements and procedures to help students and faculty members benefit from opportunities for international academic cooperation and exchange.
