The Date Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar entitled “Plant Tissue Culture Techniques in the Micropropagation of Date Palms,” aiming to introduce the key techniques used in date palm tissue culture propagation and their modern applications.
The seminar, delivered by Dr. Ansam Mahdi Saleh, addressed plant tissue culture techniques and their role in developing date palm propagation methods. It also introduced the tools and equipment used in tissue culture laboratories and highlighted their importance in carrying out laboratory procedures efficiently.
The seminar featured scientific discussions and an exchange of views and expertise on the techniques presented and their potential applications in date palm propagation.
This activity is part of the Date Palm Research Center’s efforts to promote scientific and research activities and keep pace with developments in biotechnology, contributing to the advancement of specialized research and supporting the date palm sector.
