As part of efforts to promote health awareness and foster a culture of prevention, the Department of Life Sciences organized an awareness activity focused on breast cancer. The initiative aimed to highlight risk factors, key signs and symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of early detection.
The activity included the creation of an informative poster by students, which outlined essential facts about breast cancer, diagnostic methods, and treatment options. It also emphasized the importance of regular screenings and consulting a physician if any unusual changes in the breast are observed.
This initiative reflects the Department of Life Sciences' commitment to enhancing health awareness among students and the broader community, while underscoring the vital role of health education in disease prevention—particularly given that early detection significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and improves health outcomes.
