The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah , in cooperation with the Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at Basrah University, participated in the conference hall of the Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex. The lecture was attended by the instructor, Dr. Husham Hussain Abdul-Ra'aoof, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and the Lecturer, Dr. Sundus Baqer Dawood, Head of the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch, and Dr. Raya Habib from the Basra Health office. The lecture included medical insights on the development of the emerging corona virus (covid 19). What are the main ways to protect against this disease For his part, the lecturer , Dr. Husham Hussain Abdul-Ra'aoof, said that the Corona virus is a new strain of the family of coronaviruses known as corona viruses that infect humans. Shortness of breath and the development of symptoms into acute pneumonia, which may lead to death in certain groups, such as the elderly and children. For her part, theecture , Dr. Sundus Baqer Dawood, added the most important personal protection methods related to washing hands with soap and water, using alcohol and not touching the eyes, nose or mouth except after washing hands and not being in contact with those who complain about difficulty breathing and the need to wear masks and community prevention related to social distancing.
