The two staff members of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Sajjad and Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shri published a research paper entitled (Evaluating the use of informational technologies by students of healthcare colleges for academic purposes over a five-year period) in the British Journal of Education and Information Technologies which is from Scopus and Clarivate and has an impact factor of 3.6. The research, in which a research team participated in several colleges of pharmacy in Iraq (University of Baghdad, University of Basrah, Al-Kafeel University, University of Kufa, Al-Zahrawi University, Al-Qadisiyah University, the universities of the Kurdistan region and others). The research included three phases during the years 2015, 2018 and 2020 through which the medical group’s students’ opinion on the use of five types of technology for academic purposes was measured (including electronic platforms for electronic course management). More than (3,100) students from the medical group participated in the study in (10 Various colleges from seven governorates, from north to south Iraq. The aim of this research is to assess the extent of the use of electronic means for students of the medical group and to assess the technical challenges facing students in online education. This study will also contribute to understanding and developing the current reality of e-learning and university in general.
