A scientific study prepared by three teaching staff at the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah, namely: Assistant Prof. Dr. Wasfi Dhahir Abd Ali, Assistant Prof. Luay Shihab Abdul Wahid, and lecturer Farhan Layaz, examined the ( assessment of non-nursing activities that increase the workload of nurses in government hospitals.( The study has been published in India's International Journal of Business Management and Economic Review. This study included the conduct of this study and the response of thirty nurses to assess the non-nursing assignments and its impact on the quality of nursing care provided to inpatients. The demographic information for this study showed that the study sample ranges between (26-35 years old), most of them are married (70%), gender (72.4%), females (27.6%) are males, most of them have 11 years work experience, while 43.3% have Diploma certificate (two academic years after secondary education) and normal weekly work hours. On the other hand, the results of the study showed that assigning nurses to non-nursing tasks in hospitals greatly affects the level of performance and the effect of that on the quality of nursing care provided to hospitalized patients. |
