The master's thesis was researched in the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance in the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra (Emphasis and its relationship to identity among university students) for the student: (Uday Sadiq Jaafar).
The thesis deals with the concept of affirmation, which is defined as verbal and nonverbal behavioral skills, specific attitudinal learning with relative effectiveness, including the individual's expression of positive and negative feelings. This study also deals with the concept of identity, which is the unique basic psychological need that each individual possesses to facilitate his integration with others.
The thesis consisted of four chapters. The first chapter included the problem of the study and its importance, in addition to the objectives of the study, the limits of the study and defining terms. The second chapter included the theoretical framework and previous studies. While the third chapter includes the research methodology and procedures. The fourth chapter includes the results of the research.
The message concluded that university students in general have affirmative action, and that males have more affirmation than females. The letter also concluded that university students have a successful identity. The results also showed a relationship between assertiveness and successful identity among university students.
