Two members of faculty staff at the College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah, Dr. Nazira Faleh Nehme, Dr. Shaker Abdul-Salem Nehme, and Dr. Asma Muhammad Ali published a research paper entitled (Study of some of Novel Selena-Diazole Derivative Activities on Hematological Parameters, Differentiate Lymphocytes Cells in Addition to Thyroid Hormones Levels in Female Rats One of the Series of Studies on The Impact of the New Compound). In the Indian Journal “Systematic Reviews in Pharmacy” that has an impact factor of 0.07, and within Scopus. The research included studying the effect of the newly synthesized selenadiazole derivative on measurements of blood and thyroid hormones, as well as its effect on T & B lymphocytes. In fact, it is a complementary study of the pharmacological efficacy of the compound, and the results showed an increase in the activity of thyroid hormones, an increase in blood measurements, especially blood cell counts, and a significant increase in blood fluidity and lymphocyte count.
