Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, President of the University of Basrah, the Center for Development and Continuing Education held its first virtual international conference under the title (Development and education are strength for the individual and society in the era of digital transformation). The College of Nursing at the University of Basra participated in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdulameer Abdullah Almusawi, Dean of the Ccollege of Nursing, Dr. Husham Hussain Abdul-Ra'aoof, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, and lecturer Kazem Jawad, who attended the activities of the first day of the conference. The conference was held in cooperation with the (ARED) platform in Malaysia, which includes a group of Arabic-speaking academics in Malaysian universities and the support of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah on June 2-3, 2021 at (MARLA Hall) in the Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex. The conference activities included discussing the importance of e-learning, focusing on the working mechanism of continuing education centers, and studying and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses in the performance of continuing education centers in Iraq in general, in light of the emerging conditions represented by the spread of the Corona pandemic and openness towards digital education. The first day of the conference witnessed the presentation of a number of scientific researches with the help of about (35) researchers in the conference focused on developing the concepts of continuing education and analyzing its horizons. |
