University of Basrah won the Times Award in the field of Excellence and Innovation in the Arts, as it ranked first among Asian universities
According to the official certificate of the award published on the official website (https://theawardsasia.com/2021/en/page/shortlist), University of Basrah scored excellence in the “Child’s Smile” project, which was held in cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Basrah Governorate to develop children’s abilities through various artistic works to deal with the effects of forced displacement and overcome psychological crises
University of Basrah was ahead of Asian universities such as (Beijing Normal University), (Communication University of Zhejiang) and (Hamad Bin Khalifa University) in the award
It is worth mentioning that the Times launches various awards in several fields to mark the institutional performance and excellence of higher education in Asia
