The Continuing Education and Development Center at University of Basrah organized a course on employee rights and duties
The course, which was presented by the instructor, Etidal Abdul-Baqi Yousef, aimed to develop capacities of the public employees and familiarize them with the obligations towards the state and individuals imposed on them and the material and non-material rights granted to them by the law
The course included a general definition of rights and duties in accordance with the Civil Service Laws No. (24) of 1960 and No. (14) of 1991, indicating the definition of rights, their material types, the extent to which they are affected by the penalties and duties imposed on the employee by the law, their manifestations and the penalty for failing to implement them as well as the judicial applications issued by the Court of Administrative Justice and the Court of Employee Justice, which are related to the acquired rights and the imposed duties
