Board thesis at the University of Basrah - College of Medicine discussed the Anatomical distribution of pulmonary emboli on Computed Tomography Pulmonary Angiogram (CTPA). The thesis presented by student Mais Ahmed Ghanem aims to to demonstrate the common anatomical distribution of pulmonary emboli on Computed Tomography Pulmonary Angiogram. The thesis concluded that the right lower lobe emboli was the most common followed by the right upper lobe and bilateral pulmonary emboli. Additionally, malignancies were significantly associated with right main, left main, left upper lobe and left lower lobe pulmonary emboli. Moreover, hypertension and diabetes mellitus were significantly associated with left main, right lobar and right middle lobe emboli.
