Due to their high sense of humanity and compassion and their constant and tireless connection with Basrah community, the Artistic and Cultural Division in the Department of Student Activities organized a distinguished scientific and entertaining trip for a group of children in the orphanage
About the atmosphere of the trip and bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of the children, the director of the department, Dr. Thamer Kazem Al-Azzawi, said, “Praise be to God, University of Basrah contributed to creating a special day for orphan children by introducing them to the most prominent entertaining landmark of Basrah University, which is the Natural History Museum in Al-Baradihiya area in the center of the city. The museum includes a huge group of animals, birds, marine and wild life, and the children learned their shapes, their names, and the reasons behind the extinction of some of them"
Al-Azzawi added that the museum's trip was followed by another recreational trip to the amusement park in (Shanshal Mall), where the children spent a day full of fun and entertainment
The trainers in the division contributed by drawing expressive paintings and cartoons on the faces of the children, and then the trip was concluded by serving the meals
