Announcements of the College of Education for Human Sciences
I discussed my doctoral thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra (The sediments of ignorance and its reflections on the mentality of the Muslim at the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family))
The thesis of the researcher (Akram Saud Hajim) included the concept of ignorance and the problem of temporal determination and the intellectual extension of the concept, and the objectives of consolidating the pre-Islamic sediments and the factors helping them, and mentioned the types and forms of pre-Islamic sediments, and then the effects of these pre-Islamic sediments and the means of treating them.
The thesis aims to identify these sediments and their motives and how to treat them from the Prophet (may God bless him and his family and grant them peace), and to fortify the nation from being dragged behind the dictates of these sediments. The thesis concluded several things, including: Jahiliyyah is not a period of time, but rather a way of life that can be called any society. And in any time when injustice, foolishness, recklessness, selfishness, and other characteristics that contradict wisdom and deviate from normal human nature prevail, and that these sediments were not spared from the souls of the great companions, and external opponents and enemies played a major role in separating Muslims and inciting the spirit of ignorance among them, taking advantage of those circumstances. The difficult vessels they pass through, and they present them with tempting offers to join them, and separate them from the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family). And another case, according to specific data, and physical liquidation was not one of his options.
