Demonstrated the most important objectives of study by the use of remote sensing techniques and geographic information systems in the process of studying, identifying and classifying sand and gravel quarries located in Basra Governorate, and the sites of currently invested and abandoned quarries, and the possibility of applying these techniques in monitoring quarries, organizing their work and preserving them from exploitation and overinvestment.
