
University of Basrah and Halliburton International signed an agreement for joint scientific cooperation in several fields, which will develop education, training and experiences for both parties to benefit the university students and graduates, the visual community and the oil and gas industry. The agreement was signed by the President of the University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, with the Managing Director of Halliburton, Mr. Fahd Intisar
The two sides agreed that University of Basrah will provide the necessary scientific advice for the company and to benefit from the university's research, service centers and human resources for the purposes of scientific research when needed, while granting official certificates to the company's trainees and technicians
The two parties confirmed that Halliburton International Company is attracting the top students from the graduates of University of Basrah to work with it with the numbers and specializations determined by the company according to a mechanism agreed upon by competent committees
The President of University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shahin Hammadi, stated, "After discussions with the Basra Oil Company and the ministry, and their distribution of tasks to the oil companies operating in the Governorate and the gas companies, a memorandum of scientific, research and administrative cooperation was signed today with Halliburton International, which will benefit from the university's academic expertise and the university can use the out-of-service equipments of the company as a museum or training center for students and graduates"
