A student in The College of Dentistry University of Basrah has delivered a lecture titled as 'Space Maintenance' that is occurring between the teeth as a result of the early removal of the milk (Deciduous) teeth.
The lecture that was delivered by the student Nwares Fares Hasoon under the supervision of Assistant. Lecturer Dr. Hussein Shakir Saleh included that the losing or the early removal of milk (Deciduous) teeth leads to the teeth being unorganized and that the empty space that is left after the removal of the teeth keeps decreasing constantly. As a result, the permanent teeth doesn't appear in it's correct place.
The lecture also aims to clarify multiple ways of regaining the ' Space Maintainer' which is : An appliance that helps preserve the empty space that is left after the removal of the teeth and it has different types depending on each condition.
As for the ways of space regaining: it means regaining some of the decreasing space through the ways of influencing the movement of the teeth away from the appearance of the permanent tooth.
