Basra University discusses the position of the communist movement on the internal and external policies of President Gamal Abdel Nasser
Master’s thesis submitted by the student (Kazim Wadi Khashan) at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra in the Department of History examines (the position of the communist movement on the internal and external policies of President Gamal Abdel Nasser (1954-1965)
The researcher (Kadhim Wadi Khashan) said that this letter dealt with the position of the communists on some of the decisions taken by Gamal Abdel Nasser regarding the internal conditions of Egypt, especially agricultural reform, as well as their role represented in rejecting his unilateral policy, and the clear position of the communist movement on the policy of Abdel Nasser, which ranged between Sometimes rejection and acceptance at other times.
The thesis included three chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion. The first chapter included: - The position of the communist movement on the internal policy of Gamal Abdel Nasser from 1954-1959, and the second chapter specialized in: Gamal Abdel Nasser's actions towards the communists from 1959-1965, and the third chapter It dealt with: - The Egyptian communist movement and the foreign policy of Gamal Abdel Nasser from 1954-1965.
The study aimed to identify the most prominent points of disagreement and consensus between the communist movement and Gamal Abdel Nasser, in addition to knowing the communists’ participation in the events that Egypt witnessed on the internal and external levels. Contributed to its dissemination in Egypt.
