A scientific study at the College of Administration and Economics at University of Basrah, prepared by Dr. Naim Sabah Jarrah, with the participation of Asst. Researcher Zainab Hussein Ibrahim, examined (the repercussions of Covid-19 crisis on the intellectual capital and its impact on achieving sustainable development)
The study, which was published in the journal (conference proceeding), indicated that the intellectual capital with all its components is important to get out of the current crisis facing the world, as it is not possible to reach the 2030 sustainable development plan and the conditions were not ideally prepared, which requires concerted efforts to come out with the least losses and invest the remaining natural and intellectual resources in achieving what the world seeks
The study included three chapters. The first chapter dealt with the concept and characteristics of intellectual capital. The second chapter dealt with identifying the concept and dimensions of sustainable development, and the third chapter showed the impact of intellectual capital on sustainable development
The study concluded that it is necessary to work on providing an investment environment to attract investors in pursuit of achieving the 2030 development goals with the highest ideal, as well as reducing dependence on oil and searching for resources that support the economy in such crises
