Professor Dr. Abd al-Ilah Abd al-Hussein al-Mayah, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, participated in a workshop held by the College of Science at the University of Basrah on the technology of producing hybrid cells, with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The workshop included lectures on the technology of producing hybrid cells, which is one of the leading scientific achievements in the biological and medical sciences, where the genetic content can be combined into two cells, one cancerous and the other the distinct target cell to produce a specific protein such as therapeutic or diagnostic immune antibodies, a hormone or an enzyme. Merging with the cancer cell to ensure the continuity of the continuous division.
