Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, the teaching professor at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, participated in the first international conference for pharmaceutical sciences, which was organized by the College of Pharmacy at Ishiq International University, on the paradigm shift in drug discovery from the traditional method of drug discovery to the modern, very rational method. The conference included lectures and workshops on advances in molecular and systems biology to the paradigm shift in drug development. This radically opens up new avenues for targeted therapies with disease-modifying properties. This paradigm shift towards the pathology era of systems therapies has important implications for the future of drug research, development, and minimization of sode effects that affect human health
