The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah held a workshop entitled (Electronic Correction for Attendance Exams), with the participation of researchers and specialists. The workshop included a lecture given by Dr. Miqdad Al-Hajjaj, the scientific assistant to the dean of the College of Pharmacy, which included a detailed explanation about the electronic correction of the attendance exams, as the teaching staff faced many obstacles during the Corona pandemic when correcting the exam books for the attendance exams because it is considered one of the means of transmitting the virus and transferring the infection from an infected student or contact to another or to the members of the exam committee, so the electronic correction provides great opportunities for not transmitting the virus from students to lecturers, and the person who is assigned to correct can adhere to all means of protection and perform the correction electronically. In addition, the electronic correction will provide a great opportunity to complete the correction process in a record time immediately after the exam, especially since we have an increase in the number of students, so we resort to this option. It should be noted that the electronic correction gives many statistics related to the success rates of students and the grade point average. It also diagnoses the defect in setting the questions or the exam through the reports shown by the electronic correction. Thus, we obtain important information related to the evaluation process after the teaching process about the questions and their suitability to the material and the extent of the student’s understanding the exam material, accuracy in the distribution of grades, number of successful candidates, number of repeaters, and other important details about the nature of the exam.
