A Master thesis titled Impacts of Contamination of Petroleum Hydrocarbons on soils and Groundwater in Dibdiba formation and their biological remediation, Rumaila oilfield, Iraq was defended at College of Science, Department of Geology for the postgraduate Candidate Asmaa Abdul Hassan demonstrated the most important objectives of thesis by studying the environmental impact of oil spills and heavy metals in the soil near oil wells in the Rumaila oil field in southern Iraq, and determine the spread of pollution in addition to proposing the most appropriate treatment methods through identifying and diagnosing biological treatment methods
