The College of Education for Women at University of Basrah, as part of (Reda) project, organized a visit to the National Orphanage to take care of orphans
The visit aims to get acquainted with the educational aspect that is provided to orphans, and to know their conditions, ways of living, and services provided to them, as well as to provide moral and material support
The visit included a meeting with the director of the orphanage, who stated that the number of orphans in the orphanage is (40) orphans (28) males and (12) females, who receive their education in public schools on a regular basis, and some of them have reached the university level and completed their studies there, and added that some of those who reached the age of puberty the orphanage helped them marry
At the end of the visit, Mrs. Alaa Abdul-Imam Al-Riyahi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, presented some gifts to orphans
