Geology department at College of Science organized a workshop as training course for graduate students entitled Oil Filed Familiarization. It has been presented by Mohammed jabbar obaid hosted from Al-Namariq United Company for Training and Development the workshop aims to develop students of geologists to work in oil companies, The first day topics was about( Rig types, Hoisting component ) The lecture included an explanation type rig ( Land Rig and Off Shore Rigs) and so Hoisting component ( Mast, Draw Work, Crown Block, Drilling Line and Traveling Block).
