The Department of Ecology at the College of Science organized an online scientific lecture within the summer training courses on environmental technologies used to treat water and soil pollution.
The lecture given by Dr.Asia F. Abdullah, a lecturer at the Department of Ecology, included introducing the various sources of pollution and appropriate treatment methods according to the type of pollutant and the amount of pollution.
The lecture touched on the physical treatment methods used to treat polluted water.
The lecture dealt with the definition of bacterial biological treatment and its effective role in treating water and soil contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons and other pollutants.
