The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed its readiness to study the Iraqi-Chinese University project and to cooperate in a number of scientific and academic fields between Baghdad and Beijing
During his meeting with the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nizar Al-Khairallah, the Minister of Higher Education discussed the results of the consultations conducted by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry with its Chinese counterpart within the framework of cultural relations, noting that Iraqi higher education institutions are keen on scientific and academic cooperation between the two sides, especially with regard to research to combat desertification and technology of renewable energies and promote relations and scientific exchange between university institutions, benefiting from Chinese experiences, and drawing the perspective of cooperation in the field of mutual scholarships
He explained that the Ministry of Higher Education is ready for understanding and coordination in light of the official contexts and channels approved for studying the Iraqi-Chinese University project and identifying the majors that serve bilateral relations
In this context, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviewed the consultations with the Chinese side and the paths of understanding adopted between the two countries
