The College of Science at University of Basrah organized a symposium on public safety and security of scientific laboratories
The symposium aims to introduce laboratories and how to deal with the materials and equipment used in them, and to identify the sources of danger in laboratories
The symposium included two lectures delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Jassim Al-Asadi and Dr. Maitham Abdullah Ali, on methods of prevention, safety and knowledge of first aid for materials in the laboratory
The symposium recommended the need for safety and fire systems and the availability of advanced fire sensors
