This thesis dealt with a sample of faculty members in the colleges of education / University of Basra, which amounted to (400) members of the faculty, as a tool was built to study the competencies of e-learning among faculty members and adopt a scale of the level of professional development and find the relationship between them according to each of the variable (gender, specialization and years of service).
The thesis consisted of five chapters, the first chapter included the problem of the study and its importance, in addition to the study’s objectives, limits and definition of terminology. The second chapter included the theoretical background and previous studies, while the third chapter included the research methodology and procedures. While the fifth chapter included conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
The thesis concluded that the teaching staff in the faculties of education possessed the competencies of e-learning, and the thesis also found differences according to the gender variable and in favor of males in the e-learning competencies, and there were no differences due to the variables of specialization and years of service, while there were no differences according to the variable of gender and specialization in professional development, in addition to There is a correlation between the competencies of e-learning and professional development
