Abstract:The research sample consisted of (1097) male and female students distributed over (4) schools; , two intermediate schools, namely: Al-Hashmiyat for girls (in town center) and Al-Zubayr for girls (district); and two preparatory schools, namely: Al-Basrah for boys (twon center) and Al-Ramah Al-Awali for boys (district) in Basrah province for the 9th and 12th classes .It collected the results of the ministerial exams for the (first and second) rounds for all school students for three academic years, one year before the standards were applied (2016/2017), and two years after their application (2017/2018 - 2018/2019), and statistical methods were used: one-way analysis of variance (Anova). ) to discover the differences between the arithmetic averages, the LSD test to extract the dimensional comparisons between school years, and the t-test for two independent samples to extract the differences between the arithmetic averages in the sixth grade literary subjects, The results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the average grades of the third grade students in the general average and the study subjects (Arabic language, mathematics, social sciences, chemistry) in favor of the variable of the school year before applying the standards, while the study subjects (English, Biology, Physics) came in favor of two years after applying the standards, There are no statistically significant differences between the averages of the general average and the subjects in the ministerial tests according to the three school years in changing the level of academic achievement of the preparatory stage for students of the sixth scientific grade in its branches, except for the Islamic subject for the sixth applied, and mathematics for the sixth biological, which came in favor of two years after applying Standards, The thesis concluded: The school environment is not prepared to implement the standards of the British Council. There may be a defect in one of the aspects of the educational process that negatively affects the results of academic achievement during the application of the standards of the British Council. There may be an improvement in the quality of learning in the emotional or skill side, that the continuation of the application of the standards must stop at it for a long time and take the appropriate decision has become a very important matter, the impact of the standards may have on other aspects of students such as personal and social aspects outside the scope of academic achievement.
