The master’s thesis, in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences / College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra (the extent of using alternative assessment strategies in the light of e-learning in the faculties of education from the viewpoint of faculty members) for the student (Lujain Amjad Juma’a)
The research dealt with a sample of faculty members in the colleges of education at the University of Basra, the sample amounted to (253) members of the teaching staff. Education according to the gender variable (males and females) and according to the variables (specialization, certificate, number of years of service), and to identify the differences in the extent of the use of alternative assessment in faculties of education according to the variable of scientific title (assistant teacher - teacher - assistant professor - professor)
The thesis included five chapters, the first chapter introducing the research, the second chapter theoretical aspects and previous studies, the third chapter research methodology and procedures, the fourth chapter presentation and interpretation of the results, the fifth chapter conclusions, recommendations and suggestions, and then a list of research sources and references, then supplements to the thesis standards.
The thesis drew several conclusions that faculty members in the faculties of education use alternative evaluation strategies at an average level, and female faculty members use alternative evaluation strategies at a level close to that of male faculty members. The difference in specialization (scientific / human) among faculty members does not It affects the level of their use of alternative evaluation strategies, and they use the strategies at a similar level regardless of the degree (PhD-Master), and that there is no difference or difference in the level of using alternative evaluation strategies according to the scientific title, and that the difference in the number of years of service affects the level of use of alternative evaluation strategies of the faculty members
