The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah organized the first student conference of the Department of Applied Sciences
The conference aimed to activate the role of students in the educational process and motivate them to scientific and cultural competition, creativity and innovation
The conference included a set of scientific and cultural activities for the students and a lecture by Professor Dr. Wissam Razak Mutashar on the foundations of university scientific communication, as well as the students’ participation in presenting the research of the five distinguished graduation projects at the department level for the academic year 2020-2021
The conference recommended the need to develop an administrative system to ensure smooth work and activate English language courses and make them among the basic courses, as well as finding an appropriate way to assist researchers and students in linguistic revision and proofreading
