Board thesis at the University of Basrah - College of Medicine discussed the level of adiponectin in the blood serum of patients with type 2 diabetes and its association with glycated hemoglobin and lipid parameters. The thesis presented by the student Asmaa Ibrahim Yasser aims to assess the level of adiponectin in the blood serum of patients with type 2 diabetes and its relationship with diabetic hemoglobin and different lipid parameters. The thesis concluded that the level of adiponectin in the blood is significantly associated with glycemic indexes, but not with the lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes. The thesis recommended the necessity of conducting studies on adiponectin using a larger number of patients and taking the effect of medications such as treating blood pressure and lipids into consideration.
