PhD Dissertation at University of Basrah Explores Nano-Effect of Alpha-Amirin Coating
A PhD dissertation at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, investigated the nano-effect of alpha-amirin coating on the mitochondrial biogenesis in male rats with diabetes.
The dissertation, presented by student Haider Kazem Abbas, aimed to study the role of the nano-coating as a reducer and treatment for type 2 diabetes and as an antioxidant.
The dissertation involved conducting blood serum analyses to measure glucose levels and other tests, along with histological sectioning of the pancreas. Additionally, it examined gene expression levels and mitochondrial stress proteins responsible for insulin biosynthesis.
