Within the framework of sustainable development in the environmental sector, two faculty members from the University of Basrah participate in a workshop at Basrah Environment Directorate.
Dr. Raghad Shubber Jaafar and Dr. Hasan Khalil Hasan from the Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah participated in a specialized workshop organized by Basrah Environment Directorate titled "Shatt al-Basrah Nadhim: Current Reality and Future Vision."
Dr. Raghad Shubber delivered a lecture addressing various types of environmental pollutants and methods for implementing environmental sustainability and development. She emphasized the importance of collective efforts to preserve natural resources through organizing awareness and educational campaigns for a cleaner environment.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hasan Khalil provided a detailed explanation of the center's significant achievements in environmental sustainability. He highlighted the establishment of scientific partnerships and collaborations with several research and executive bodies, along with an explanation of the center's five-year strategic plan aimed at finding solutions and controlling pollution in Shatt al-Basrah.
