University of Basrah Students Organize a Visit to Saint Joseph's Nursery for Nuns
Professors and students of the College of Arts at University of Basrah organized a visit to Saint Joseph's Nursery for Nuns to congratulate the Christian component on the occasion of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ.
The visit aims to enhance the concept of community service and the positive relationship between members of Basrah community and to learn about the nursery and its work mechanism.
The visit included a detailed explanation provided by the nursery director, Ms. Suzan, about the work mechanism in the nursery and giving an overview of its history, the changes it has undergone and its educational role in Basrah, in addition to the historical aspects of the establishment of monasteries and the impact of Christians in Iraqi society and the state of peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society.
