A Doctoral Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Subjectivity of the Quranic Discourse
A doctoral thesis at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah examined the subjectivity of the Qur’anic discourse – a study in the light of sociolinguistics.
The thesis aims to demonstrate the relationship of subjectivity in the Holy Quranic discourse; as a linguistic phenomenon in the Arab heritage, in addition to clarifying its cognitive data in the position of linguistic indicators included in the speech of the absolute supreme self.
The thesis presented by the student Kamel Kadhim Badan included three chapters in which he explained the language of the self and its impact on external reality, self-knowledge and its social linguistic communication, and the behavior of the self and its relationship to the statement of subjectivity in the discourse.
