The University of Basrah is the top Arab university in the Fourth Scientific Olympiad.
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah announced that student Fatima Hussam Mahdi won the gold medal in the Fourth Scientific Olympiad competition for individual students.
Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Asaad Mohammed Kazem, explained that Fatima secured first place for her research titled "Artificial Intelligence in Dental Diagnosis," surpassing more than 117 students from six Iraqi universities and three Arab countries.
He added that the Scientific Olympiad aims to highlight and develop students’ scientific talents to serve as a foundation for their future studies and academic journey.
He confirmed that the Olympiad results were announced on the Yaqeen platform and that the participating research covered medical and engineering disciplines.
